The Skills for Life: Bilateral Upper Limb Difference Workshop is typically held every 3 years. It has developed into an internationally recognized event with over 70 people living without both hands or all four limbs in attendance. This 3-day unique and life changing workshop includes a program devoted specifically to issues faced by individuals living without both hands or all four limbs. Presenters include individuals living with limb loss/limb difference, therapists, prosthetists, physicians, case managers and others.

Scholarships Available!
**Important Announcement**
We are now on a waiting list for the scholarships. We have processed and approved over 50 applications and we currently do not have the funding for more. If this changes or people previously approved are no longer able to come, you will be moved up the wait list for approval.

At Skills for Life 7, we’ll explore a range of engaging topics through dynamic panels and breakout sessions. Panels will cover everything from practical life hacks and available resources to important discussions on mental health wellness. Breakout sessions will provide an opportunity for attendees to share their experiences and learn from one another, with a focus on Activities of Daily Living. Additionally, we’ll have lots of fun and interactive activities, including Cornhole, Swimming, and Adaptive Gaming to name a few. Can't wait to see you there!

Activity Day & Special Events
Activity Day
We plan to hold all of your favorites from years past like Swimming, Adaptive Gaming, with Warfighter Engaged, Biking, Golf, Music, Pickelball and Art & Crafts.

Kids Zone (supervised play area) will be available for all kiddos during certain hours throughout the workshop.
​​
Scavenger Hunt
On Wednesday night, team up with your fellow attendees and be the first team to decipher the riddle's clues by proving your answer with a team photo. We won't venture far, just outside the hotel on the city walk boulevard for all the fun!​

Welcome Reception with our Sponsors/Exhbitors and Cornhole Tournament
On Thursday night, we will host a reception with our exhibitors and serving heavy hors d'oevres, so plenty for all to eat. Following the reception, Imperial Cornhole will be hosting a super fun corhole tournament!​
​
Karaoke, Pinata & Game Night
Join us on Friday night for some awesome tunes sung by our very own SFL attendees, pinata fun and some board games.​
​
Hustle & Heart: All-Star Bash
Gear Up. Let Loose. Celebrate
We will wrap things up with dinner and dancing on Saturday night. Show your team spirit and wear gear from your favorite team or school. Tshirts, jerseys, hats, dresses, etc. ​​​​​Invite friends, open to others who are interested in joining us. Dinner tickets can be purchased here. If you are registered for the workshop, you do not need to buy a dinner ticket.



Who Should Attend?
Anyone living without both hands or all four limbs
Whether you were born without or lost your limbs to trauma, whether you are young or old, whether you have lots of experience or are brand new, come join us! Family members also benefit from connecting with other family members. Young ones have an opportunity to meet older peers who are just like them. Attendees range in age from 2yrs to 80+ and come from all over the world.

Healthcare professionals
Anyone who works with this population, will have a better understanding of how to help their current and future patients.
