Ronnie Hindsman's Bowling Tournament
Ronnie lost both his arms in a work accident on June 29, 2004. He attended his first Skills for Life workshop in 2008, which he described as life changing because he learned so much from meeting with others like him. Because of the 2008 SFL event, he was inspired to give back. He wanted to ensure that these workshops continue, so he hosted his first bowling tournament fundraiser in 2019. The fundraiser was such a success that it is now an annual event. Ronnie hopes even more people living with bilateral upper limb loss/limb difference join him at future events.
With the help of his friends, family and the local bowling community, Ronnie has held 6 successful bowling tournaments and raised over $104,000 benefitting Enhancing Skills for Life.
Ronnie's Seventh Annual Bowling Tournament will be held February 22-23, 2025 at Triple J Lanes in Livingston, TX.
Scholarships Available!
As you may know, we offer scholarships to attend the Skills for Life workshops, but did you know we also offer financial assistance to attend Ronnie's bowling tournament? Click here to fill out your application today. We are excited to watch this event grow every year and would love to have you come join the fun in 2025! If you apply for a scholarship/grant, Enhancing Skills for Life will take care of the hotel bill upon checkout and will reimburse you for your flight once we have your receipt.
