Volunteer
Stay connected to the limb loss community by volunteering with Enhancing Skills for Life. See below for ongoing volunteer opportunities.
Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities:
1) The Skills for Life Workshop Planning Committee helps organize and plan the workshop, activities and meals as well as assist in running the event during its duration. The time commitment varies, but all committee members are expected to:
-
attend monthly, 1-hour conference calls; bi-monthly leading up to the event;
-
provide feedback;
-
act on action items from the planning meetings; and
-
attend and assist at the workshop.
Planning committee members can be bilateral arm amputees, family members of bilateral arm amputees or any individuals who service those in the limb loss community. Committee members receive a discounted registration and/or a reduced hotel rate.
2) Nonprofit Assistance
If you have experience in social media, marketing, website design, finance, fundraising or working with non-profits we would love your help! Please contact us!
3) Workshop Event (Non-Planning Committee)
During the SFL workshop, we need help with all the various tasks the weekend entails, such as registration, directions & assistance, meals, activity day, ADL buddies and so much more!
4) You can check out our current events for volunteer opportunities or if you are interested in running your own event or fundraiser, please contact us.
Our Skills for Life Workshop as well as events or programs in between are all volunteer run and organized, so there are many ways to get involved! Please share your talents with us!
