Current Volunteer Opportunities:

ACCEPTING PLANNING COMMITTEE MEMBERS NOW. We are currently seeking individuals to be on a planning committee for our next Skills for Life: Upper Bilateral Limb Loss Workshop, October 13-17, 2021 in Houston, TX at the JW Marriott Galleria. Please contact us with your interest.

 

The Planning Committee helps organize and plan the presenters, activities and meals as well as assist in running the event during its duration. The time commitment varies, but all committee members are expected to:

  • attend monthly, 1-hour conference calls; bi-monthly leading up to the event; 

  • provide feedback;

  • act on action items from the planning meetings; and 

  • attend and assist at the workshop.

 

Planning committee members can be bilateral arm amputees, family members of bilateral arm amputees or any individuals who service those in the limb loss community.  Committee members can receive a discounted registration and/or a reduced hotel rate. Those with bilateral upper limb loss can apply for a scholarship

Our Skills for Life Workshop and events in between are all volunteer run and organized, so there are many ways to get involved!
