COVID-19 Financial Assistance Fund

We want to help our Skills for Life community during this global pandemic and often a good form for that help is cash. In response to the pandemic, a generous benefactor is working with Enhancing Skills for Life, 501c3, to help individuals with financial hardships as a result of COVID-19.  The focus of this financial assistance is to help families avoid evictions by helping with mortgage or rent, pay utilities, help with grocery needs for their immediate family as well as other limited circumstances related to COVID-19 that may not be listed here.

 

We have a small community, many of them are on fixed incomes and their situation is unchanged aside from the stress of living through a pandemic. For those not on fixed incomes or those for whom their partner has had their income impacted by current events we want to help. We will pay the creditor directly and other items can be reimbursed upon submission of a valid receipt.

 

The funds per person will be limited depending on demand so that we can help as many individuals as possible. Help will be only given after the application has been reviewed and the need is deemed to match our criteria. Also, although we want to help all those in need in our community, those with the greatest need will be helped first. The ESFL Board Members will review all applications and coordinate the distribution of funds.

 

Who is eligible to apply?

Those missing both arms or more than both arms or their partner if their income has been impacted by COVID-19. In the event of a minor child, their parent or guardian may apply.  Please note your financial hardship due to COVID-19 in your application and whether other funding sources are available in your area/region.
